Baines' Camp's location on a private concession neighbouring the Moremi, is superb for viewing all animal and bird species. Guests may explore by land and water, often into the night to discover nocturnal species. The permanent water of the camp reveals a world of floating safaris, atmospherically silent at the gentle pace of a poled mokoro (dug out canoe), or faster in a comfortable shaded motorboat. These water activities are dependant on the water levels.
A myriad of waterways, feathery beds of papyrus, and animal species, large and small, are waiting to be discovered. Sometimes there is no better way to tune into the bush than on foot, and you can experience walking safaris with skilled, armed guides introducing the area's natural wonders.
The unique and educational Elephant interaction aims to highlight the individual personalities of our 3 elephants, Jabu, Thembi and Morula and to initiate relationships between elephants and guests. This rare experience will be cherished and certainly never forgotten.
