Lions are opportunistic hunters and will kill and feed on just about any animal. They prey mostly on large mammals such as Wildebeest, Springbok, Impala and Zebra. They also prey on Buffalo and Hippo.

Females give birth to their first calves at age four or five, usually calving only once every two years thereafter.
