Khwai River Lodge is located 8km (4.9 miles) north-west of the north gate of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. The Khwai River is part of the Okavango Delta's system, but the Khwai River Lodge lies at the point where the river narrows to a stream and disappears into the sand. This is where you will find Moremi, one of Africa's most majestic game reserves.

The best way to Khwai is view Maun, accessible by scheduled daily flights from Johannesburg. Other accessible routes are from Livingston, Zambia and Kasane, Northern Botswana.

Access from Livingston, Maun and Kasane is all by shared charter aircraft operated by Khwai's air partner, Mack Air. All aircrafts used by Mack Air are by single-engine and private charters are available on request.

Guest can also access Khwai by 4x4 vehicles, on condition that the driver has experience of driving in Botswana as the road conditions are quite bad and may vary depending on the rising weather conditions.
