You will find Crocodile, Hippo, Elephant, Buffalo, several species of Antelope, the predators such as Lion and Leopard, and more. The Okavango Delta has earned its reputation as one of the world's premier wilderness areas.

Females give birth to their first calves at age four or five, usually calving only once every two years thereafter.

Lions are opportunistic hunters and will kill and feed on just about any animal. They prey mostly on large mammals such as Wildebeest, Springbok, Impala and Zebra. They also prey on Buffalo and Hippo.
